Full-Day Workshop

Seminar: Teacher Talk™ – Training B - Let Language Lead the Way to Literacy

A Hanen training series based on Learning Language and Loving It – The Hanen Programme for early childhood educators/teachers

The Teacher Talk series is a well-researched programme for early childhood educators working with children from birth through kindergarten (0-6years). Each training module offers information and strategies that will help participants provide a rich and inclusive learning environment for young children in classroom and early childhood settings. The training is based on principles of adult learning – that is through interaction, discussion, small group activities and the use of video and other interactive methods.

As caregivers of young children, teachers have a crucial role to play in preparing them for school and laying the foundations for the development of reading and writing skills. Research has demonstrated that high-quality, developmentally attuned interactions between teachers and children are associated with later literacy success.
