Overview
In today’s diverse classrooms, challenging behaviors are often viewed as disruptions to be managed rather than communications to be understood. This workshop invites you to shift your perspective and moving us from traditional classroom management to a neurobiological-informed approach.
Course Outline
This workshop will offer practical and neuroscience-backed knowledge and strategies to transform your approach to classroom regulation and student engagement. At the end of the workshop, you will recognize the deeper dynamics affecting classroom behaviors in ways that make sense to you, and making your interventions more effective and sustainable.
Course Objectives
In this workshop, you’ll learn to
- Make the connection between neurophysiological states and behaviors,
- Recognize beyond surface-level behaviors to the neurophysiological states driving the students,
- Implement small but powerful shifts in daily routines that prepare brains and bodies to learn.
Who Can Benefit?
This workshop is designed for teachers, school-based and clinical mental health professionals, or others who support educators and students.
